General Info about Jen S.
I am Jen S. and I am a Junior Sociology major. I might be going to Law School after I graduate college, though I have yet to decide for sure. That would be another three years of school, and I basically hate studying and school in general. Oh, well. I still have a year to decide

Where does Jen S. work?
I work at JCPenney (well, at least I'm going to during Christmas break). I've worked there since 1997, though I haven't worked this year since February. So we'll just have to see how much I actually remember!
I also work at the humane society in my hometown when I am home. I have worked there for over four years. If you visit the Adopted Animals page, you will be able to see pictures of animals that have been adopted from the shelter I work at. If you click on an animals' picture, it will take you to another site where you can see animals that are still available.

What does Jen S. do for fun?
Not much. I lead a pretty boring life. You can't have a whole lot of fun when the bulk of your time is spent on studying and doing homework. So that's one of the reasons this website exists: to give me something fun to do. I also am in charge of the Petfinder website for the humane society I work for.
Even though I lead a pretty boring life, I do like to have fun. I like to go to movies, go bowling, and go shopping. I love hanging out at my brother's house. I also enjoy messing with my computer (though that has caused me to kill it several times in the past!) I would say that I enjoy going to bars, but I'm not sure if I do or not. I've only been to one, and it was really late (or early, if you prefer) and hardly anybody was there. If I get any more information on the subject, I'll be sure to let you know!
Well, here's the update you've all been waiting for!!! I would have to say that I do enjoy going to bars. I've been to two separate ones since my last post, and I really enjoyed both of them!
What is Jen S.'s family like?
In general, my family is pretty cool. I have a mother, a father, (yes - I'm one of the few people that still has an intact family!) and two brothers. My dad is a machinist, but he's retiring in a few months. My mom is a teacher. My oldest brother is an accountant (I don't see how he can stand all of those numbers!) and my other brother works for Wal-Mart.
I also have four pets - two dogs and two cats. Shadow is a 9 year old beagle/shepherd mix. We got her from a free-to-good-home ad in the paper when she was just a tiny pup. Before I got too old to be in 4-H, I trained Shadow in obedience for 7 years. She won numerous awards, including a first place win in the highest 4-H dog obedience class at the Indiana State Fair. She is a great dog! She loves to play fetch!
Heidi is a beagle/bassett/corgi mix. My 4-H leader found Heidi wandering around the parking lot at the high school when she was about a year old. She was really skinny and only weighed 17 pounds. Nobody claimed her, and now Heidi is a 38 pound beautiful six-year-old. Heidi was also trained by me in 4-H for three years. Her first year she did very well, winning first place at nearly every fun match we went to. However, after that first year when I had to train her off-leash, she didn't do so well!
Fuzzy is a tortoishell cat. She is 11 years old. She is a great cat - when she wants to be! If she doesn't want to be pet, it's best just to leave her alone!
Milo is an 8 year old gray longhair cat. He has a personality pretty much like Fuzzy's - pet him when he wants pet and no other time!

Shadow and Heidi
This is a picture of my dogs, Shadow and Heidi sharing an unusually close picture. They are sharing a rawhide bone that they got for Christmas. This picture was taken a few years ago
